![]() ![]() At the speed the counter has been going up, it will reach 100 in ~30 days. This free system utility monitors the health and status of your drives and displays the information in a compact, easy-to-read interface. I have been following the wear counter since I got this computer since I was curious how fast it would happen. I thought this thing was going to last at least 6 years or even much more. THis ssd is only about 3-4 years old and I don't think I'm using it heavily. Perhaps it isn't percentages since there is no slowing down or any problems yet. It was at 97 and I assume at 100 it is supposed to be worn completely. Any idea why this is showing up, and just how worried I should be Thanks 1. Ive not noticed any odd behavior on my SSD, it seems perfectly fine. However, on opening, I noticed my Health Status in CrystalDiskInfo was 3, and my SSD Life left was 3. Until now there is little information about real SSD durability (most is manufacturer info), but i did some very crude calculations based in the above smart data: the 'Media Wearout Indicator' has decreased 2 units. I opened up CrystalDiskInfo to see whether an issue on my 2nd drive (HDD) was a hard drive issue. You would have to write tens of gigabytes daily and it would still last for years. It was installed on the 15/08, and since then it is working (hard) at least 10 hours a day. ![]() I'm aware that ssd wear down, but I thought that was going to be very long time for normal users. I can trough several software see the wear level on my ssd. This computer is also starting to get a bit old and I was thinking of getting new one soon, but if this thing I'm talking about is going to be a problem, then probably very soon than later. This is my first computer with an ssd so I have no previous experience.
